Almost No SNMS DVD This Week

I can now report that there WILL BE an August 13, 2011 DVD.  Due to a batch of defective video tape that rendered much of what I shot junk, it looked for a while like there was not going to be enough usable footage to produce a complete DVD of the 8/13/11 SNMS races.  But, due to some quick thinking and fast response from Julian Herrera, it looks like we will have something to show at The Game Wednesday night after all.

I didn't want to announce anything about the bad tape problems until it was certain that there was no solution.  As those who have followed High Desert Video for a while know, Julian Herrera has saved my butt a few times before, but he really came through this time by not only providing video of the races and parts of races that I missed, but did so in a timely manner that kept the production on schedule!

So the next time you see Julian walking through the pits or grandstand area with his trusty camcorder, please let him know that you appreciate what he does out at the track!  I certainly do!
